On the last OPB report I heard, they said out of Oregon's 400,000 newly unemployed, 100,000 are gig economy workers like me. Of those 100,000, only 30,000 have so far gotten responses -- including rejections, such as the one I received in June, two months after I first applied. Since then, every time I call the special PUA number they set up, it is always busy. The sound of a failed state.
